    ◎ CLIMB INFO

    A break in the weather! Saturday promises to be a beautiful day out! =) Let’s go climb! Complete beginners welcome! It will be cold so come with lots of layers.

    =======================

    Event will only take place if we have enough people willing to help carry gear & experienced climbers / belayers. We’ll play it by ear with the weather. If it’s raining or if it’s wet, we can’t climb, but we can still dim sum ;)

    =======================

    ▀ Pay $50 cash in person. Harnesses, ropes, helmets provided. Please bring exact change.

    *Because we will have to lug a ton of equipment up the hill for you … we’ll be a bit rankled if you clicked “Attending” and don’t show =)

    Stand by your commitment to come and we will fulfill ours to ensure you have everything you need for an enjoyable day out!

    ▀ The event, as always is open to all levels from beginners to seasoned climbers alike.

    1). Sunglasses, long sleeve shirts, umbrella etc. Insect repellent is a MUST =)

    2). Bring food; bread, chocolates, candy for an energy boost. 2 liters of water as we’re in the wild, no shops to buy drinks from.

    3). Note that there’s also no toilets at the venue, if you have to go, it will have to be in the bushes. Bring an umbrella to shield yourself. Tissue paper, wet wipes, a plastic bag to store trash etc.

    4). Bring your own helmets if you have. Camera for a great elevated view of Kowloon.

    5). It is a short but very steep hike to the climbing spot, so DO NOT wear slippers / flip flops, low traction shoes. Hiking boots / sneakers are a good idea. You will need to use both your hands for balance and to pull yourself up … so make sure everything you have can be packed into your backpack & your hands are free.

    6). Pls PRINT out the map and Chinese directions. If you do not, you will get lost =)

    ◎ Directions For the Day:

    1). Kowloon Tong MTR Station, go to Festival Walk (MTR exit “C”)

    2). 8:15 Meet at the taxi stand by the Franc Franc store (there are two taxi stands, make sure you meet at the right one).

    3). Gather yourselves in groups of 4 – 5 and share a cab. Show this to the cab driver.

    Chinese Directions for taxi driver: 龍翔道東行,見「豐力樓」(或「水務署機電工場」) 路牌轉左再轉左

    Directions Google Map:http://tiny.cc/BH-SV…

    From Lung Cheung Road, go east, turn left at “Green Garden” sign, then turn left again into a small road by the “Water Supply Department”. Go up a winding road until you see a gazebo on your left. The trail up to the crag is on the right side of the road. Walk up until you find a fence, then follow it up to the crag.

    ◎ DIM SUM INFO

    No Project X outdoor climb is complete without a big dim sum lunch + ice cold beer!

    This is the highlight of our weekend climb, and the real reason why we bother to wake up so early at all =)

    This is where we go for sky-scrapping stacks of steam baskets.
